Wow - that was easy. Great little unit.

First, my setup was a simple one - 2 doors and a motion detector for my cabin, but as all the components were wireless and come with batteries, this would have taken me only about 2 minutes extra to add twice as many components.
Was very pleased at the low cost for this system that does a lot and is so quick to set up. Just hooks into my VOIP phone system to dial me when the alarm goes off. All components are wireless so no wiring required - I installed the door and motion detector components in about 30 seconds each. Just swich them on and stick using sticky backing, or screw on.
Base unit was already tuned into components (wirelessly) so no programming was required - just needed to enter my phone number so It could dial me - which was done fairly simply from the base-unit keypad. No need to hook up to a computer or anything complicated.
2 minor points:
1. The english in the manual is a bit ambiguous in just a couple of places (Im guessing this is made in china and translated), but after a couple of minutes I was able to figure it out. The manual is fairly brief, but the process for entering commands is important to get right.
2. Being wireless this is ready to go, out of the box - the flip side of wireless is the batteries on all of the components will eventually need replacing - hopefully they will last a year or so - Ill add to the review if I have problems.
Overall very impressed with how much this system does and how simple to set up.

Good buy for the money.

Does exactly what it is suppose to do. I did have to go to Youtube to watch a video of a very similar product (Door chime feature of ES10C wireless home alarm system). Some of the coding was different, but basically the same techniques. Another tip clear all phone numbers from memory and input new numbers in the beginning stages, even if you did not add any numbers. Works great!

Works as described.

This product is a knock off of the Fortress Security S02 that is priced around $150. It says on the box that it includes a smoke detector and it does not but this was not noted in the description. No product support. No company logo on anything.
I almost returned it because my password stopped working. Device works as described except for a flaw I discovered that causes the main panel to lock up when you try to access the panel via telephone. The device has to be reset in order to be accessed again. All you have to do is enter 0000# at anytime and the device resets itself and clears all devices. Why this information was not included in the documentation is beyond me, especially since there is no company phone number or support offered. I found the company that makes the original and I was told over the phone how to deactivate the device.
One of the motion detectors was powered on when it arrived. The parts and double sided tape to the devices were all over the box (because it was used). The batteries were installed in some devices and not in others. Only two of the sensors and the siren were properly packaged and sealed, giving the appearance of not being used. Everything was clean.
The backup battery installed in the device stopped working after 9 hours but the description clearly states that it lasts 24 hours. You can order replacements from the Fortress Security website.
People complain about the codes and instructions but if you learned how to read up to the 5th grade level, you should have no problem figuring this out. Just because the instructions are missing a "the" in places doesn't mean it's broken English. I remembered codes (no "the") after using them just a couple times. Example, Set time for (no "the") alarm to sound after activated: (PASSWORD) + Pro + 28 + 01(for one minute)+ # No you can't set alarm to go off after 15 seconds of anything below one minute. It's either instantly triggered or the panel beeps for a minute to 30 minutes before going off.
The siren came with a 4 foot cord. So you must have the siren within 4 feet of the device unless you buy an extension cord. Which I have purchased here on Amazon. So far my alarm system for the building is about $84 dollars in total.
If someone breaks in and finds your device they can just shut it off. I had to file down the power switch so the device has to be opened to be powered off and fixed the main panel into drywall (so the cord cannot be pulled).
As far as I can tell, the broken phone line alarm does not work.
If you are looking for something to protect something priceless like life, do NOT buy this. Spend $50 more for a decent system. This device should ONLY be used to protect a warehouse or barn DO NOT buy this if you are trying to protect your family when you're away. If anyone would like any assistance using this device do not hesitate to contact me. It can be worked with, but for this price it's a given that it needs a lot of time to become useful as the one would intend it to be but it does work as stated.
