Be notified that someone or something has come onto or into your property with a notification of a chime or louder alarm. Place the wireless IR motion sensor in a position to monitor up to range of 24 feet. The sensor will send a wireless signal when motion is detected to the receiver up to 400-Feet away. The battery operated receiver can be installed on to a wall or can be kept portable for multi use. Batteries are included and the sensor is pre-learned to the receiver. Simply insert the batteries, chose the location that needs monitoring and security is ready. This product cannot be expanded. Only the one motion sensor included in this package can be used. No additional motion sensors can be added to this set. To create a multi motion sensor environment, or if different types of sensors are desired, please select the Ideal products SK632 and SK615. Up to 6 wireless sensors can be added to the SK632 receiver. For louder siren notification the SK626 can also be linked to an Ideal motion sensor SK615. This set is very useful for small businesses where staff must leave the main area, but still need to be notified of customers coming in.

Great but could be better

I bought this product to protect my backyard from potential thieves. Either the advertising was a bit confusing or purposely meant to be deceiving. The distance for the alarm and detector to work together is up to 400 feet but the actual distance of motion detected is listed as 8 meters or 24 feet but it's actually more like 15-18 feet but that is more than enough for what I need. The angle of detection from left to right is about 30 degrees or so. at least that what the box says. Its also really easy to install. Took it out of the packaging, popped in the batteries and switched it to on. Just have to drill in the screw for where ever you want to mount the detector and you're done. Great product. Buying two more for another family member.

Ideal Security SK601 is an ingenious product

After hearing about a rash of break-ins in our area, we wanted to install some home security but didn't want to take on the expense of a fully monitored alarm company system. We had no idea what was on the market and we found Ideal Security's SK601 motion detector. What made us buy this product as opposed to similar models is that this one is hooked up to the phone line and will actually call up to 5 stored phone numbers with a siren alert, if your personal code is not entered within a pre-set amount of time, as well as emitting an audible siren from the unit itself.
We found out how well the system works when my husband returned from work the other day and wasn't quick enough in entering the code! All phone numbers stored were called at once, including my office number, where I was alerted to a possible break-in. Luckily my husband called me to let me know what had happened. But if it was a real break-in, I could have called 911 imemdiately, possibly stopping thieves in their tracks.
The unit has a back-up battery in case of power failures, and a low battery warning. This is one great product, and we are now looking at other Ideal Security products for other areas in the house and outside property.

Wireless Safety Device

The Ideal Security, Inc. wireless safety alert device works great. I'm able to hear the alarm at a good distance , and I can rely on it to let me know when I have a customer.
