Great geeky scale.
By N. Crouzier
I bought this one directly from Amazon and so far I am pretty impressed.

Setup is easy, used my smartphone with bluetooth and Withings app to configure Wifi, did not have any problem with the setup, pretty user friendly. You need to create a Withings account directly in app or on their website.
User profiles allows the scale to automatically detect who is using the scale and if users are about the same weight you can easily select the profile during the weigh-in.

Weight capture and BMI is pretty quick (1-2 secs), body fat is about 2 seconds longer and heart rate is another 5 seconds so you need to stay about 10 seconds on the scale to measure everything, not bad.

The scale also measures CO2 levels and temperature every time you weigh-in and every 30 min.
It will only upload data when you weigh-in or once a day so don't expect to monitor your bedroom temperature/CO2 levels live when you our outside your home, it will only update once a day.

I successfully connected my account with runkeeper so I can track my running, you can connect to other dozens of web-services like MyfitnessPal, I would love to connect to Garmin Connect but this might be an issue on Garmin's side more than on Withings'.

What needs more testing: battery life, software update/upgrades, third-party compatibilities.

Overall It satisfies my geeky person, I'll post an update if some issues come up.

EDIT 09/062013: Just a quick update to say that my batteries have run out this week. So it lasted about 5 months of daily use. Note that the scale still had enough juice to capture weight and body fat but not enough to upload the result and CO2 levels.

EDIT 08/07/2013: Withings has updated their site. It's much nicer now and you can finally view all the data the scale captures (including temperature and C02 levels)

EDIT 04/26/2013 : Small edit concerning customer service, I asked a couple question via the Withings website and got answered very quickly, quite pleased. They are apparently going to update their web site "in a few weeks" so that we can see the CO2, temperature and heart rate data.Looking forward to that.

EDIT 2 : Since this is a pretty pricy scale don't hesitate to ask questions and I'll see if I can manage to answer :p
EDIT 1: Right now it does not seem possible to access C02 and temperature reading from the web site, only from the app, don't know if this will change.

Accurate, and it is compatible with BodyMedia!
By Celestialsky29
I have an extremely accurate scale, and the Withings scale weighed me at exactly the same weight as my EatSmart scale. Then, after downloading the Withings app, I discovered you could tie your BodyMedia to this scale!!! This was a bonus I didn't know about when I ordered it.

The setup was a little lengthy, but mostly because I had a user error (my fault) when getting the Bluetooth on my phone to work properly. Once I got that going, the scale started it's activation. It downloaded an update to the scale, and that took a little while. I believe it took about 15 minutes to get the scale set up. Once I did, I stepped on my EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale w/ Extra Large Backlit 3.5" Display and "Step-On" Technology [2013 VERSION] to weigh myself, then stepped on the Withings scale, both read the exact same weight. I check the accuracy every couple weeks on my EatSmart scale with a 5 pound weight I have, and it is always dead on.

I checked my heart rate with my Polar heart monitor, and they were the same. I don't know if the body fat measurement is correct, as I truly have no idea how much body fat I have. Body fat analysis was the biggest thing that drew me to this scale.

You have to have a smartphone either with Google Play (aka Android) or an Iphone in order to set this scale up. I wasn't aware of that when I ordered it, so I thought I would point that out. I received an email after I got the scale registered on the Withings app, that tells you not to clean the surface with any kind of cleaner, but to use water instead. The only place I have bare floors is in the bathroom, and hairspray tends to get on my other scale, so I placed a small towel over this scale to avoid having to clean hairspray build up from it. I don't want to damage the sensors, as it would render the scale useless. I tried placing it on carpet, to weigh myself and it weighed me really low, so I know it doesn't read correctly on carpet.

I love the website so far, it is easy to use and access. In time, I will see what it does with the BodyMedia stats, as you can sync your BodyMedia to the dashboard of the Withings app and website. The instructions that came with this scale were very limited, as they don't go into the features or troubleshooting of the scale, however, I see that the Withings representative has been very helpful in responding to the reviews of others who are having problems. THIS is EXCELLENT customer service in my eyes!!! Any company that takes the time to help others by responding with direct links and specific help is a company that has my business!!!

So far, I am extremely happy with this scale. If I have any issues that I discover, or any other fun little perks, I will add them to my review.

Edited 4/27/13: You can sync this scale to Walgreens's Balance Reward activity website! I did this, and already I have 500 Balance Points on my account today. Now, I don't have to manually log my activity and weight on there. I love how all of these things are compatible with each other.

Several good points, a couple of "flaws"
By C. Negron
* See bottom for 1 month ownership assessment

I own an Omron HBF-500 scale right now which I use daily. I normally do daily-weigh ins to catch trends in my habits.
I've been waiting for the WS-50 as it supports wireless N and had some additional functionality.

Good:

Supports wireless N
App available for both Iphone and Android
It's thin enough my bathroom door can swing over it.
Very intuitive to set up for a "tech-savvy" person
Fat & BMI measurements were within ~.5 of my Omron's measurements
It recognizes "unknown" users and allows you to add them to your app for tracking (very cleanly)
No waiting for "zeroing", you just stand on it and away it goes.
Local LCD display gives you all the measured information cleanly and in sequence

Bad:

Temperature readings were way off on first try, almost as if it was taking the temp of my feet and not ambient. (have to test more, not conclusive) ** Working See EDIT1
CO2 levels read "very bad" @ 64,000. It seems something is faulty. (have to test more here as well) **Working See EDIT2
Weight seems to show a slightly higher value (3lbs in my case, but I will try to get some standardized weights to test more)
No troubleshooting notes in manual (Generally speaking I would say you don't need it, but in my case I would have liked more information about the Co2 measurements)
It wasn't immediately obvious that wifi is set up by using the phone App. (I'm one of those people that fully ignores the manual to get an idea of how well a "first use" goes)

Notes:

Setup is fairly intuitive despite what I mentioned earlier.
I had installed the withings app and created an account in preparation for the scale. When I got the scale, I pulled the tab in the back for the batteries to connect (they come preinstalled (4AAA)) and held the pairing button in the back. After I paired it with my Android phone, the app registered the scale and allowed me to connect to my local wifi network then just put the scale down and it was ready to use. Hope this is helpful.

*If you are reading this Withings, when pairing bluetooth, the app responded with something about "iphone" on my android phone. It might be wise to do a "search and replace" on the entirety of the App text.

Edit 1:
Temperature measurements are now spot-on, it must have been a temporary glitch.
CO2 measurements are faulty in software or hardware. It reads either 65000 or 17. I left it outside, upstairs, downstairs, same result. I'm hoping this is a software issue but I might return just based on this.
Weight & Heart Rate are accurate enough for it's purposes. I've had several people use it as well, ranging from 77lbs-205lbs.

About the App:
I second what other's have said about the Android app.
You have to click on the butterfly to get into the dashboard, it always feels like a loading screen and causes unnecessary wait.
Dialogs mention "iphone" on an android phone
Very easy to remove the modules that display the various measurements, (weight, heat rate, etc.) but rather counter-intuitive to add back up.

Some nice to have features on the app:
Add display for Basal Metabolic Rate(BMR) and other simple, "derived" calculations from existing data.
Allow measurements to be stacked on the main display, not have to rotate through pre-defined groups. (I would like to have weight, fat, heart rate & bmi stacked on the main screen without swiping)
Shorter or infinitely custom graph history spans. (I would like to keep 1week of data points at start not 3 month default)
Aggressively attempt to partner and integrate with the other activity/sleep meters on the market. (Fitbit Flex, Jawbone Up)

Edit 2:

CO2 readings magically started indicating values which perhaps could be "accurate" (Looks like a firmware update from withings)

1 month later:

Weight measurement - I don't have the trust I expected on this scale. I find myself now stepping on both the withings and my old Omron scale then getting an average of the 2 readings. It's very simple for the withings to read inconsistently and that alone is it's greatest flaw. Additionally, it seems to need a minimum weight to operate. When I tried to used calibrated 6lbs weights, it failed to measure at all, while my Omron happily gave me the reading. This may be due to the nature of the sensors (non-linear) not sure, but if the Omron can do it, I would have hoped this one did too.
Fat Measurement - I haven't written this off yet as I haven't had a professional fat analysis done but I can say that I have measured a few friends with weird results. One friend consistently read's 3-4% (she's 78lbs) but not an athlete. I also measured my sister who is a gym instructor and it said she's 30% body fat when she has defined abs. I'm very skeptical about this at this point.
Heart Rate - This also seems to constantly fail to read and then blink an "X" as it wasn't able to measure.
Display - Initially, I thought the sequence of measurements on the scale was a good thing. Now I feel that after you get through the cycle, it doesn't give you a more persistent aggregation of measurements or perhaps even just weight staying on for another 5 seconds. It all ends too fast, sometimes I still want to process what I just saw.

Withings overall seem very responsive to feedback, perhaps from this site or forums so I'm hoping some of these items can be fixed in software. That being said, I have downgraded this to 2 stars as the main feature of the scale, I find to be unreliable.
